Chef Jeff Harris

Chef Jeff Harris spent his summers as a boy on his grandparents’ farm in East Texas where cooking was the mainstay of family gatherings. He attributes his love of culinary philosophy to this influential time in his life.
Harris went on to graduate from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, after which he began his professional career at Craft New York. He draws much of his current inspiration from Celebrity Chef and Owner Tom Colicchio. In 2006, Harris returned to Texas to assist in the opening of Craft Dallas, where he served as both chef de cuisine and executive chef.
In 2010 Harris was lauded by The Dallas Morning News as one of the top ten best chefs in 2010’s “The Best in DFW: Chefs.” Prior to joining AF + B, Harris served as Executive Chef at Bolsa and Bolsa Mercado, where he earned a four-star review from The Dallas Morning News and was once again recognized as one of “The Best in DFW: Chefs” in 2012.
Now at AF+B in Dallas, Harris’ culinary philosophy is about starting with a quality product and treating it with respect from start to finish, ultimately allowing the natural flavor of the ingredients to shine through on the plate. True to his farm-to-table craft, Harris sources ingredients locally whenever possible. He is known for dishes that are straight forward and honest, clean and uniform with incredible depth of flavor.
