Tasty Tidbits: Marczyk’s Burger Night
August 27, 2012Marczyk’s Fine Foods is a specialty retailer in Denver, CO, owned by two brothers, Pete and Paul. Ten years ago they began their “Burger Night” tradition. This summertime affair is best described as one part BBQ and one part block party.
The concept and the ingredients are simple. The Burger Night Crew starts with freshly ground, humanely raised Niman Ranch chuck, then grills the burgers to the perfect temperature (you can choose between rare, medium or well done), they’ll add cheese per your request and serve them atop a freshly baked brioche bun.
Once your burger is ready they’ll call you by name to pick it up. You’ll get to dress your burger with your favorite condiments (be sure to try the bacon aioli), then be seated at one of the picnic tables along the sidewalk to take in the sights of the neighborhood and ENJOY.
Tips from the Burger Night regulars
While your burger is on the grill, pop into the shop to pick up your favorite sides, their homemade potato salad is to-die-for.
The smoke can get a little intense so be sure to sit up-wind from the grill.
Marczyk’s has two locations in Denver. One at 17th and Clarkson and one at Fairfax and Colfax. Burger Night is held every Friday from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. (weather permitting)
