Niman Ranch Resources For Food Service During COVID-19

A Note From Niman Ranch

To our Friends & Business Partners,

Before I provide you with an update about how we are addressing the current business environment, we want to share our heartfelt offer of friendship and solidarity during this stressful time. You and your teams are more than a customer, you are part of our business family, and many of you are personal friends.

During these challenging and stressful times, I wanted to reassure you on several fronts:

Associate Health:

  • We have canceled all group meetings, are following Social Distancing and Hygiene practices from the CDC, and put in place a “No Travel” policy until further notice.
  • We have dramatically increased our sanitation procedures and protocols at all facilities (3-4 times the standard frequency).
  • We have many associates working from home to help them, their family and their teammates stay healthy.
  • We have liberalized our absentee policies to help some associates deal effectively with child care challenges and make sure there is continuity of wages and benefits during this time.

Livestock/Product Supply:

    • We have reassured all farmers and ranchers that we will remain open and receive all the livestock we have planned for – no changes.
    • We have developed contingency plans for the plants to continue to operate under a reduced staff scenario – if necessary.
    • We have arrangements with other co-pack partners to assist each other if any one co-packer/manufacturer faces production challenges.
    • We have arranged back-up freight carriers in case we have any issues.

    Business Partners:

    • We will offer a “Product Availability List” to all customers each day to inform them on what additional products are available for purchase – starting this Friday, 3-20.
    • We will have Customer Service and Sales reach out to you frequently to see what we can do to help meet your needs.
    • The Senior Staff is authorized to provide any/all assistance that you need; if we can, we will do it.

Rest assured, we are eager to help in any way we can. It is times like these that show how important it is to help each other out.
