Carving your spiral sliced ham ahead of serving makes for less mess and a more enjoyable experience at the table – everyone can dig right in! It’s quicker and easier than you think, plus makes for a showstopping centerpiece when plated on a beautiful platter.

Bone in spiral hams have three large sections naturally divided by a thin layer of fat. You can see these sections when you unpackage your ham and look at the cut side with the bone showing. The easiest way to remove the ham meat from the bone, is to cut between these naturally divided sections using a sharp knife.

Start with the two larger sections that don’t contain the bone, making your first two cuts along the natural division between these sections.

Make your third and final cut around the bone to remove it from the last section.

Arrange the slices on a platter and serve with your favorite ham glaze. Garnish with fresh cranberries, pomegranate seeds, slices of citrus or fresh herbs to make your holiday ham the star of your table.
