March 25, 2024

Ham is our go to for the holidays, including Easter. Our Niman Ranch Holiday Hams are crafted with care, prepared using traditional practices that create a unforgettable smoky and sweet taste. Whether you choose for your ham to be the main event, or simply included in side dishes, you can be sure it will elevate your Easter meal!

If by chance you have leftovers when the holiday is all said and done, we have three recipes that cover breakfast, lunch and dinner, to help you make the most out of your ham purchase. Tag us in your creation on social media to be featured!

Breakfast

Ham and Egg Strata

Put everything together the night before for a super simple morning preparation with this ham inspired breakfast dish. Beat your eggs, add half and half, milk mustard, salt and pepper in a bowl and set aside. Layer the ingredients into a baking pan, starting with crouton/bread, cheese, ham, egg mixture, and a sprinkle more of cheese on top. Take it out in the morning and let it temper for 20-30 minutes while the oven heats. Bake for about an hour, or until the center is firm. Add in sausage, bacon, peppers or onions if you are looking to mix it up!

Lunch

Ham Monte Cristo Sliders

Keep it simple with with a pan of sliders! Layer half the buns in a pan, spread on your desired condiments on one side, such as mayonnaise, and other condiment on the other half, such as mustard. Stack slices of ham and cheese on each bun and then put the two halves together. Coat the tops of the buns with an egg, salt and pepper mix and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Mini sandwiches for the win!

Dinner

Ham and Pineapple Casserole

Fan of pineapple on your pizza? How about pineapple in your casserole? We paired together diced pieces of ham with chunks of pineapple and cheese for a simple dinner dish. Only 15 minutes of prep – melt butter in a skillet and fold in breadcrumbs. Remove from the heat and cut your chunks of pineapple. In a casserole dish mix together the pineapple, ham, cheddar cheese, salt and pepper. Top with your melted butter and breadcrumb mix and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Share with three other people, or save it for yourself for days to come!
