Bacon Beef Chili

This hearty, flavor-filled Chili combines Niman Ranch Maple Uncured Bacon and Ground Beef. Add your favorite fixings, like cheese and sour cream, for an extra special touch.

Ingredients

12oz Niman Ranch Maple Uncured Bacon, slice into thin strips

1lb Niman Ranch Ground Beef

1 poblano, seeds removed, fine dice

2 medium onions, diced

2 cups of beef broth

6oz tomato paste

15oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

15oz can black beans, drained and rinsed

15oz can diced tomatoes

1 tbsp chili powder

2 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp ancho chile powder

1 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp garlic powder

2 bay leaves

2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

*Serve with cornbread, cheese, extra cooked crispy bacon and sour cream

Cooking Instructions

  1. Place a large stock pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the bacon and cook until the bacon is partially cooked.
  3. Add the ground beef and onions. Cook until the beef is browned, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well.
  5. Cover for 20 minutes, stir well.
  6. Cook for an additional 10 minutes uncovered. Enjoy!
