Thanksgiving Applewood Smoked Bacon Wrapped Dates

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Niman Ranch All Natural Applewood Smoked Uncured Bacon
  • 16 large, Medjool dates
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, blue cheese, brie or cream cheese, crumbled
  • Toothpicks

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Slice dates in half lengthwise and remove the pit.
  3. Spoon the crumbled cheese of your choice into both sides.
  4. Sandwich the two halves back together and wrap a half-slice of bacon around the outside of each date.
  5. Secure bacon by inserting a toothpick through the center.
  6. Arrange dates on a baking sheet and bake for 20 – 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
  7. Transfer to a plate and let cool 10 minutes before serving.
